This is the full 8-week Mindful Self-Compassion course developed by Kristin Neff and Chris Germer.
Over the course of eight weeks, you’ll explore practices that can help you:
Meet difficult moments with more steadiness and care.
Soften self-criticism without losing motivation.
Build mindfulness skills for emotional balance.
Strengthen kindness toward yourself and others.
Bring self-compassion into real-life stress, relationships, caregiving, and daily challenges.
Why live practice matters
Mindful Self-Compassion is not just information to understand. It is a set of practices to experience, repeat, and integrate over time. In this live course, you’ll have guidance, structure, reflection, and community support as you learn to bring compassion into everyday life.
Registration: After registering, you’ll receive a welcome email with a few short forms to complete your registration and receive the Zoom link. These forms help us understand your needs and support a safe, respectful learning environment.
Cancellation Policy: Course registration fees will be refunded or transferred to future MSC dates if cancellation occurs before May 23, 2026. To process any refund, there will be a $50 dollar fee charged by the system. The refund will only be for tuition fees, and any miscellaneous expenses incurred related to this course will not be refunded.
A 50% refund or the option to transfer to a future MSC will be offered if cancelling before May 30, 2026.
No refunds can be offered if cancelling June 16, 2026, or later (except on compassionate grounds for extenuating circumstances).
Reimbursement: Some healthcare plans, health savings accounts (HSAs) and businesses will reimburse for health promotion or wellness programs, please consider submitting your email receipt.

Learning Objectives
Describe the theory and research supporting mindful self-compassion.

Continuing Education Credit
Psychologists: Continuing Education Credit for this program is provided by UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness. The UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness maintains responsibility for this program and its content. This course offers 24.0 CE credit.
California licensed MFTs, LPCCs, LEPs, LCSWs: Continuing Education Credit for this program is provided by UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness. The UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. 24.0 CE credit may be applied to your license renewal through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. For those licensed outside California, please check with your local licensing board to determine if CE credit is accepted.
Nurses: UC San Diego Center for Mindfulness is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP16351, for 28.75 CE credit.
About the Teachers
Lauren Sabet, MS, RN, Certified Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher
Lauren Sabet is a registered nurse with over 30 years experience in the healthcare industry ranging from acute clinical care, training and education in the clinical, community, and corporate settings, to account management, data analytics and applied research. She completed the Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher Training Program and Practicum through the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion in 2021 and her Teacher Certification in 2026. She is honored to call herself a teacher of mindfulness and compassion. Lauren is the Founder & CEO of M&C Care, a company committed to offering Mindful Self-Compassion programs that cultivate tools to bring about deeper connection with ourselves and others. Lauren is a mindfulness practitioner whose intention is to continually hone her skills in the pursuit of more freedom, love, and peace.
About Ann Back Price, MSN, IAAP, Trained Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher
Ann Price is trained teacher of Mindful Self-Compassion and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Ann was introduced to MSC by her colleagues at the Providence VA Medical Center whose work with veterans demonstrates significant impact and promising research results. Ann is dedicated to sharing the value of Mindful Self-Compassion for ease and well-being.
